Letter To The President'

Dear Mr. President
I am sending you this letter today.
While I know you've won the election,
But there are some things I just wanted to ask and say.

Are you ready for the messy house
That the other Presidents have left?
Are you going to find the bed you sleep in
lumpy and now can't seem to rest?

Are you going to find a solution?
To this energy crisis our country is in?
Are you going to stop all the conflicts and hatred?
And maybe put a stop to this killing sin?

Are you really who you say you are,
For our Nigerian people and myself to trust?
Or were you just telling us what we wanted to hear,
And are our bubbles now going to bust?

As the business of our nation goes onward,
What are your true feelings
About corruption and national security?
Will you reflect the compassion that is so much a part of your personality?

You know you'll have much a scheme to implement;
Cleaning up your sphere of influence,
Dealing with terrorism as a growing menace,
And a great drive to tear down economic impediment.

Nevertheless, I just wanted you to know
that I am praying for your success.
And even if you don't carry out what you've claimed
I am sending you my prayers for all the best!
