The Reflection of Chidinma

The force that drove the flower
The celestial bodies decide
The coming of an angel at noon
The glorious cry of the mother
As the wind soughs around the border,
And the trees rejoice as it moves
Bringing the gift of happiness
Heralded as on e of the earth’s finest
Giving joy as shadows disappear
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!
Like a jewel in a Genevan’s ear
She is more lovely and temperate as a wife
Rain falls to clean the stained surface of life
Softly it falls like an April rain
Showers as she surely reign
O, I will live to remember
From January to December;
That you brought joy in place of sorrow.
Your path I will also follow
In your dynasty, there is no war
And it’s your kind that I’m longing for
A damsel of so shining loveliness
That blooms with so much tenderness
She carries the torch of her beauty
Erect into any place she goes
She is the fatal gift of beauty
Like a bright light she glows
Aye, she also teaches the torch to burn bright
She walks in beauty like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright,
Meet in her aspect and her eyes.
The innocent, the beautiful and the kind
Indeed have no enemy but time
But only God, my dear sister,
Could bless you forever.
